Happy New Year 2023

I’d like to wish everybody a Happy New Year.

I’ve got a few responses to my last newsletter on LinkedIn.

Someone mentioned a way to have a locked-down root AWS account while keeping your existing account is by importing your existing account to a new root account.

Suppose the problem you trying to solve is only having a locked down root account and at the same time keeping the current account. In that case, you can always create a new root account, create Organization inside and invite your current account into it. You can even import it into your new AWS Control Tower. Nevertheless, it’s always better to start with AWS Organization from the beginning.
